He'd already shared so much more of himself with her in just the past week than he had with his closest friends over the course of years. It was stupid as hell, but he was trusting in her. Hopefully going through with this at all was enough to let her know what a huge chance he was presenting her with. He initially meant to leave this place empty-handed, damn it!
But if they helped, great. If they didn't, nothing would change, right? Those odds were at least ones he could live with.

Daria made a small nod, feeling a wave of something. He didn't say anything, he didn't accuse anything of her. Not right now.
